The Church Extension Fund (CEF) electronic funds transfer service speeds "The Grace of Giving." The Excel in Giving® option offers convenience and security for individuals, efficiency and a more predictable cash flow for congregations and schools.  With the Excel in Giving electronic fund transfer service, CEF hopes to make it easier for Michigan District Lutherans to meet their stewardship goals while providing a more consistent revenue stream for Michigan District Lutheran churches and schools.  The name itself, Excel in Giving, was inspired by 2 Corinthians 8:7, in which Paul exhorts Christians, "Just as you excel in everything... see that you also excel in this grace of giving." 

 

Excel in Giving® is an automated giving program designed to help you conveniently and consistently contribute to a Lutheran congregation or institution or to pay tuition at a Lutheran school. Through Excel in Giving®, your gifts or tuition payments are made through a pre-authorized withdrawal from your bank account. You determine the frequency of your automatic gift - weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly - the option is yours. School tuition payments can be processed on either the 1st or the 5th of each month.  Your gift or payment is deposited into the recipient’s bank account on the same day it is withdrawn from your account - at no cost to you or the recipient. 

 

Would you like to have your weekly offering or monthly tuition payments automatically deducted from bank account instead of writing a check? If so, consider signing up for the Excel in Giving® program offered by Church Extension Fund (CEF). Vanco Services, LLC administers the program.  Anyone can participate. We have several members who participate in the Excel in Giving® program and you can join them by downloading and completing the following form, Member Enrollment and Authorization Form, and returning it to the church office. We will then process the form and your donations or payments will be electronically transferred. This form is also available in the church or school office.  If you have any questions regarding this program, please contact the church office.
